William’s will:


In the name of God Amen I William Hinton the Eld:r of Speake in the County of Lancaster yeoman being infirme in body butt of sound and perfett memory thanks be to God for the same First I Comitt my Soul into the hands of Almighty God trusting in him that through the meritts of Jesus Christ my onely Lord and Saviour to obtaine full pardon and remission of all my Sins & transgressions whatsoever and my body to be decently buried att the descretion of my Execrs hereafter named And after my debts funerall Expences and probat of this my will are fully satisfyed and paid I Give and bequeath unto my Loveing wife the summe of three pounds five shillings a yeare Cleare without deduction or abatement from any Leyes Gants taxations or other Assessments whatsoever to be raised out of the messuage and tenem.t hereafter mentioned and the parlor belonging to the said messuage and one Butt in the yard of Six Roods Long att eight yards to the rood and five yards broad one fruite tree in the orchard att her [...] If the terme and Estate of me the said William Hinton soe Long Last and Continue, And Likewise one bedd and furniture thereto belonging dureing the terme of her n[at]ural Life and after her decease then to my daughter Mary wife of Edward Hulgrave of Halewood in the said County; And alsoe I give unto my said wife one brasse skellett one pewter dish one Large Coffer one Cheere one Cushion one Stoole And whereas I am prized of a Certaine messuage and tenemt in Speake aforesaid I give the same unto my son William Hinton his Execrs Admrs and Assigns for and dureing all my terme and Estate therein and thereto subject nevertheless to the said three pounds ayeare to my sd wife, And I Likewise give and bequeath unto my son John Hinton of Aston Grange in the County of Chester the summe of thirteene pounds; and unto my said daughter Mary the summe of ten pounds to be paid out of the cleere[?] issues and profitts of the sd Estate by my said son Wm as the said Estate will make  Item itt is my will and mind that if my said wife happen to depart this naturall Life dureing the Life time of my said Son Wm I will and require my said son Wm to be att the Charge of her funerall nott exceed the summe of three pounds tenn shillings and the same to be raised out of the sd messuage and tenement, Item I give unto my sd son Wm the Table and Cupboard in the house for heire Loomes and as for the rest residue and remainder of my goods I give and bequeath the same amongst the Children of my sd Son John and daughter Mary one Moiety each And Lastly I nominate declare and appoint the said Edward Hulgrave and Edward Mosse of Frodsham in the sd Count of Chester Execrs of this my last will and testament hopeing they will see the same duely executed as my trust is in them reposed in witnesse whereof I have hereto putt my hand and seale this twenty nineth day of March anno RRud Anne [...] Angl. or sext Annoque Dmi 1707
