A relationship with William de Lancaster is suggested by a charter given by the Lancashire VCH (7:sub Lea, Ashton, Ingol and Cottam fn 16), where Henry de Lancaster, son of Warine, gave a plot of land in exchange for another “for the souls of William de Lancaster, Warine de Lancaster and Mabel his wife, Richard Fitton, father of his own wife Margaret etc.”
