Thomas de Camville

Events

Date of Birth: unknown.

Place of Birth: unknown.

Date of Death: by 1288.

Place of Death: unknown.

Thomas’s son Gerard held the manor of Arrow by 1288. (Warwickshire VCH 3:sub Arrow)

Relationships

Father: William de Camville.

Mother: Albreda Marmion.

These relationships are given by the Warwickshire VCH (3:sub Arrow). They are supported by the Banco Roll entry below, where a 1291 jury states that Albreda was the grandmother of Thomas’s son Gerard. Nichols (3:1:350) gives William and Albreda as Thomas’s great-grandparents and, although he is followed in this by the Warwickshire VCH (4:sub Seckington), it doesn’t seem to be based on any good evidence.

Spouse: Elizabeth.

This relationship is given by Nichols (3:1:350). I think it is referred to in the 1302 inquisition post mortem of Richard de Harcourt, but I am not sure about this.
