Francis’s will:


In the name of god amen the xxth daie of november an’o d’ni one thousand f[ive] hundred foure score and eightene I Frances Stubbes the elder of the parrish [of] Bromsgrove in the countie of Worcr sick in bodie but thankes be to god of [...] and perfect remembrance do make this my last will & testament in maner [and] forme followinge that is to wit first I geve & comend my soule to almighty [god] my maker & redemer trustinge by Christs merits onlie to have forgeveness of all my sin’es and I gev my bodie to be buryed in the parrish churchyard [of] Bromsgrove aforesayd and as touchinge all & singular my worldly goods cattelles & chattells I geve & bequeth them as followeth that is to say first [I] geve unto Elizabeth Stubbes my daughter thritene pounds sixe shillings and eighte pence of lawfull English monie to be payd unto her the sayd Elizabeth fyve yeares next after my decease or else at the daie of the maryage of the said Elizabeth wether shall happen the first if the sayd Elizabeth shall mary [...] consent & to the good lykinge of her mother if her sayd mother solonge shall [live] and if her sayd mother shall dy before the daie of the maryage of the said Elizabeth then if the said Elizabeth do marye with the consent & good lykinge of such of her frends as her sayd mother shall appoynt by her last will and testament. I ge[ve] unto Alice Stubbes my daughter thritene poundes sixe shillings & eighte pence of lawfull English monie to be payd unto her the sayd Alice within fyve years next after my decease or else at the daie of the maryage of the sayd Alice wheth[er] shall happen the fyrst if the sayd Alice shall marye with the consent & to such good lykinge as is before specified in this my present will & testament on the behalf of the said Elizabeth Itm I geve unto my son[n]e Frances Stubbes the one half of my house sherein I now dwell & one half of all houses edifises & buyldings thereto belonginge & the one half of all grounds unto my said house belonging of what nature qualitie or degre soever they be during the whole tearme & tyme mentioned & specified in my Indenture of lease which I have of the sayd house edifices & grounds Itm I geve the other half of my said house edifices & grounds unto Parnell my wyf during the sayd tearme specified in my sayd Indenture if she the sayd Parnell my wif so long shall lyve and if the sayd Parnell my wyf shall dy before the end & expiracon of my said Indentur then my will is that the sayd Frances my son shall have all the sayd house edifices & buyldings & all the sayd premices during the tearme specified in my sayd Indenture to together with my said Indenture of lease Itm the residue of my goods unbequeth[ed[ I geve unto the said Parnell my wyf and to the sayd Frances my sone to be equallie dyvyded betwixt them It[em] I do ordayne & make the sayd Parnell my wyf my sole executrix to this my last will & testamente and I do appoynt my welbeloved frends Thomas Tysson & Antonie Coole supervisores to this my last will to se it performed accordinglie these beinge witnesses
