In the name of God, Amen, the sixt daye of marche in the twoe and thirteth yeare of the Reigne of our Souveraigne Ladye by the grace of God Queene of Englande France and Irelande Defender of the Faithe: 1589. I Agnes Scrase of Howe in the Countye of Sussex Wydowe beinge sicke in Bodye but of good and perfecte memorye (praysed be god) Doe make this my Laste will and testament in manner and forme followinge. firste and principally I Bequith my soule into thandes of Almightie god, and I hope to be saved by the death passion and blodsheadinge of Jesus Christ and by [...] And my bodye to be buryed in the parish church of Presson in the sayd Countye; Item I will and Bequith unto John Scrase sonne to my sonne Richarde Scrase i greate Cheste, i gould ringe i paire of Hempen Sheets i litle kitle i Candlesticke ii pewter platters and i pewter dishe: Item, I will and Bequith unto Barbara Denham i trerkle(?)
