David is called “my late cousin” in the 1672 will of Edward Morgans. David is said in Edward's will to have left a will of his own, but I have not been able to locate this. Either this David or his father seems to have been a churchwarden in Trefeglwys in 1670.

Commentary
David’s parentage:
E. Ronald Morris in his 1988 article “Lloyd of Cefnbarrach” states that the grandparents of David’s son David were David Lloyd and Margaret Morris. He cites a 1691 deed that I have not seen: “...the first David Lloyd known to have lived at Cefnbarrach. This individual was dead by 1672 -- a deed of 1691 redeeming a mortgage by his grandson David Lloyd III mentions him and his wife Margaret Morgan....”
The1672/6 will of Edward Morgans of Glynhevren in the parish of Llandiloes gent. notes that land named “Keven barrach Bulch yr helygen, and Tyddin Lottin” had come to him by the will of “my late Cousin David David Lloyd gent after the decease of his mother Margaret Morgans therein named.” Edward was the son of Margaret Morgan’s brother John.
The land mentioned in Edward’s will is the same as mentioned in a 1691 quitclaim from John Morgan of Llanbrochan (Party 1 – he was Edward’s son) to David Lloyd of Cefenbarrach (Party 2 – he was the son of the David of this page.)
“Party 1 quitclaims to party 2 for 101.10 pounds all estate, right and title in several messuages now in the possession of David Lloyd of CB and of Bridgett, his mother: namely, Bwlch yr Helygen in Eskurith (tenure of Evan Thomas), Tylottyn and Beulan in Eskurith, and Cae yr Poesbin ‘and of any estate, he, the said Morgan, hath or may have in the said parish of Trefegwlys by virtue of any deed, will or demise heretofore made by David Lloyd, late of Cwmnewidion in Co. Cardigan, gentleman, deceased, or by virtue of any deed etc made by Edward Morgan, father to the said John Morgan deceased.”
