Evidence
Attached to the 1604 will of John Taylor is a marriage bond. Bound are John’s two executors, his widow Elizabeth and Richard Griffin, and Williiam Scot of Chaddesley Corbet agricola.
Commentary
Elizabeth’s parentage:
The 1581 baptism of Elizabeth Taylor (father John) was the only one in Chaddesley Corbett in the time period. In his 1603 will, John Taylor of Winterfold in Chaddesley Corbett made a bequest to his eldest daughter, Elizabeth Taylor.
John Taylor of Chaddesley Corbett married Joane Hill in 1578 in Hartlebury, shortly before John’s eldest son John was baptized in Chaddesley Corbett in 1579. “Joane Taylor wyfe of Jhon” was buried in Chaddesley Corbett in 1587.
