This relationship is given by Saint-Phalle, by Bouchard (1987, p. 263; 2001, p. 19), and by Baldwin. Saint-Phalle gives Aubry's parents as Mayeul, viscount of Narbonne, and Raimonde, and Mayeul's father as Aubri, viscount of Narbonne. Bouchard (1987, p. 262) states that Aubry "may be" the son of Maiolus, viscount of Narbonne and his wife, Raymunda.

Mother: Tolosane, daughter of Raculf, vicomte of Mâcon. She was also known as Etolane and Attalane.
