This relationship is shown by Bartrum (Edwin 14). Ithel Gam is given as the son of Maredudd in Bartrum’s sources, but Bartrum suggests that Ithel Gam was the son of a Hen Ithel Gam, who was the son of Maredudd. Carr (1979, p. 138) gives Ithel Gam's father as Meredudd.
