Loibl (p. 153-161), after carefully considering the evidence for and against, gives this relationship. Bühler (pp. 67-9) suggests that Ulrich's parents were Ulrich von Formbach and Uta, whom Bühler suggests was a daughter of Rapoto, count of Cham.
