Commentary
The identification of Eleanor’s parents is fairly straightforward. The main alternative baptism would be an Eleanor Harris baptized in Kidderminster in 1741, but that Eleanor died young. The name Rebecca, given to two of Eleanor’s daughters, is a point in favour. Also, another daughter of John and Rebecca Harris of Old Swinford, Rebecca, seems to have married in Bromsgrove as well, in 1764.
