Memorand: That I William Clemens of the Burrough of Warwick in the Countye of Warwick, Baker beinge of good memory and of reasonable health, praysed be God for it doe make and ordaine this my Last will and Testamt: in man[n]er and forme Followinge, Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my Loveinge wife Mary Clemens, All those Three tenements or Cottages with theire and every of theire rights members and appurtenances scituate and beinge within the Burrough of Warwick aforesaid in a certaine place there Called Saltifford, now or late in the severall tenure of Thomas Dale widdow Rawllinson & Richard Hancox for and dureing her natturall Life, And after her decease and then my will is that I doe give & bequeath unto my sonn Samuell Clemens the Tenement or Cottage that now the said Richard Hancox liveth in, to my said sonn and his heires foreuer, and If he dyeth without Issue of his owne bodye, then my will is that If his wife shall survive him, then she to have it duringe her life and after her decease, then my said Tenement or Cottage I give unto my son Thomas Clemens & his heires forever, Item I give unto my sonn Abraham Clemens, the Tenemt or Cottage, that widd Rawllinson now liveth in with the garden she holdeth with it, and the garden I now have in my owne hands theire to him, and his heires forever, Item I give unto my Grandchild John Clemens, sonn of my sonn William Clemens, after my wives decease that Tenemt or Cottage in Saltifford aforesaid in the tenure of Thomas Dale with the garden belonginge to it, to him & his heires foreuer; Item I give unto my wife Mary Clemens the house I now live in beinge within the marketplace ward within the said Burrough of Warwick, for and dureinge her naturall life, And after her decease my will is, and I doe give the said house to my son Thomas Clemens and his heires foreuer, Alsoe I give unto my said sonn Thomas Clemens after my wives decease these goodes Followinge In the parlour of my said dwellinge house next the street, one joyned bedsteed, the Curtaines coalome[?] smale[?] Good flocke bed and bolster, one greene Couerlett two blankets, one Joyned press a table and forme; and two Coffers, In the roome ouer the hall one Joyned bedsteed and one set of Curtaines and valons matt & coards one Feather bed and boulster, one greene Rugg one blanket a sid Cubboard a side table, one Longe drawinge table, three Joyned stooles, two red Couered Chaires, three red couered stooles, one Iron grate, one paire of Andirons, the fire shouell & tonges, In the roome ouer the shope, one Joyned bedsteed mat & courds, one set of red Curtaines and valones, one feather bed and bolster, one red Couerlid, one paire of blanketts, one table three Joyned stooles a side Cubbard and one greate Chaire, In the roome over the seller called the litle Closset a Trunckelbedsteed; a woolebed and bolster and one paire of blanketts And alsoe six pewter platter, my biggrs brass pot, six paire of sheets, one table cloth, and one dosen of napkins, and all and singular my brewinge vessells, and alsoe all and singular my utensills and Implements belonginge to the trayde of a Baker, hee the said my sonn Thomas Clemens payinge unto my son in Law Samuel Shorte at the end of two yeares after mine & my wives decease the sume of Twentye pounds, And alsoe he my sonn Thomas to pay unto my sonn in law William Silke after mine & my wives decease the sume of Twentye pounds at the expiration & end of foure yeares after such decease as aforesd, Item I give unto my sonn William Clemens one shillinge Item I give unto my Son in Law Isaac Twicrost one shillinge, I give alsoe unto my daughter Sarah Shorte one shillinge, And lastly as for touchinge & concerninge all and singuler other my goodes Chattles and Cattell, and personall estate whatsoever not herein before bequeathed, I give deuise and bequeath the same unto my Loveinge wife Mary Clemens, whome I doe hereby Constitute, and appointe to bee Sole executrix of this my last will & Testament, And I doe hereby revoak, and make voyd, all former wills & Testamts whatsoever heretofore by me made, In Wittnes whereof I have hereunto set my hand & seale the Twentieth day of Maij In the yeare of our Lord God one Thousand six hundred nintie & one (1691)
