Leicester.

Whereas William Marchall of Claxton on Friday after St. Bartholomew, 13 Henry IV, fled to the church of St. Remigius, Claxton, and sought the coroner and on Monday after the said feast before John Folville, late coroner in the county of Leicester and four townships adjoining, viz. Claxton, Holwell, Howes and Broughton, acknowledged that he was a thief and on Friday before the Assumption in the said year about the ninth hour broke the close, house and chamber of Edward Wymondham of Claxton at Claxton and stole 2 marks of gold and silver of his money there, on which according to the custom of England he abjured the realm; the king pardons him.
