This relationship is given by Murray (p. 173), who notes that the genealogies of Foigny and of Alberic of Trois-fontaines agree that she was the sister of Ebalus I, count of Roucy. Murray notes that Jean-Noël Mathieu has argued that this is chronologically impossible and that she was probably a daughter of Eustace I of Boulogne.

Baldwin de Rethel (died 21 August 1131 in Jerusalem, buried in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre), became Baldwin II, king of Jerusalem, married Morfica of Melitene in 1101.


Mathilde de Rethel married Eudes, châtelain of Vitry.


Hodierne de Rethel married (1) Heribrand de Hierges, châtelain of Bouillon; married (2) Roger de Hauteville, prince of Antioch. She is said to have had many lovers.


Cecile de Rethel possibly married Lewon of Armenia (later Lewon I, lord of the Mountains).
