Martínez Díez (pp. 9-10) argues for a date in late 1047 or early 1048. Saéz gives June 1040. Reilly (p. 20) states that Alfonso was probably born in 1037.

Place of Death: Toledo.

The date is given by Reilly (p. 363), who discusses the evidence. Martínez Díez (DBe) gives 30 May 1109 as does Salazar y Acha (2021, p. 106).


Date of Burial: 21 July 1109.

Place of Burial: the royal monastery of Sahagún, León.
