Relationships
Father: George Ferne.
This relationship is given in the 1634 Visitation of Sussex (p. 171) and in Miscellanea Genealogica et Heraldica (1:475). Helms et al. in The History of Parliament (sub Hall Ravenscroft) state that George was of Temple Belwood, Lincs. It is not clear what the source is for this, but if it is true, then George’s parents were probably William Ferne and Anne Sheffield of Temple Belwood. If so, however, it is odd that the 1583 Visitation of Staffordshire does not mention George's existence, given that the informant, John Ferne, would have been his brother. (John did have a son, George, whom he mentions in his will, born after the 1583 visitation and too young to be Judith's father).
Mother: unknown.
Spouse: John Ravenscroft (1571 - 1615).
This relationship is given in the 1634 Visitation of Sussex (p. 171).
