Commentary
Sarah’s parentage:
Sarah was married in 1705 in Kinlet. In Cleobury Mortimer, about 4 miles from Kinlet, “Sarah the daughter of John Byship” was baptized in 1679/80. The baptism entries of some of Sarah’s siblings give their mother as Thomasin. The 1693 will of John Bishop of the Forest of Wyre in the parish of Cleobury Mortimer names his wife Thomason and daughter Sarah. John Bishop’s eldest child was baptized 13 November 1653. The Neen Savage parish register records the marriage of John Bishop and Thomasin Browne 6 May 1652.
