In the name of God Amen the last day of October in the thirteenth yeare of the raigne of our Sou’aigne Lord George of greate Britaine &c King defender of the Faith &c. and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred twenty and six I Charles Bembow of Pen y Castle in the parish of Llanidloes in the diocese of Bangor yeom’ being in perfect health mind and memory Do therefore make this my last Will and testament in man[n]er following First of all I bequeath my soule to Almighty God my Creator hoping for Salvacion through the merrits and passion of Christ Jesus my redeemer As for my body I bequeath to to [sic] the Earth to be decently interred att the discrecon of my Exer: herafter named and as for my p[er]sonall Estate wherewith itt hath pleased God to bestow on me I bequeath the same in man[n]er following first I give and bequeath unto my loving wife the sum[m]e of fower pounds of lawfull money of greate Britaine to be paid her quarterly by my Ex’er hereafter named every yeare dureing her naturall life the first paym’t to be made her within three moneths next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my son in law Edward Jarman the sum[m]e of twenty shillings to be paid him within three moneths next after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Anne the sum[m]e of five shillings Item give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the sum[m]e of five shillings Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the sume of five shillings And as for all the rest and residue of my personall estate I give and bequeath unto my two sons John Bembow and Charles Bembow equally to be devided betweene them And I doe hereby constitute and apointe my said two sons John Bembow and Charles Bemow joynt Exec:rs of this my will and testamt hereby revoaking all former & other wills by me made In wittnes whereof I have hereunto putt my hand and seale even the day and yeare first above written

In the Name of God Amen the Thirtyeth day of Novemb.r [sic, probably should be ‘September’] Anno Dni. 1729 I Charles Benbow of the parish of Tref Eglwys in the County of MountGom’ and diocese of Bangor being sick and weake in body but in perfect sence and understanding do make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament in forme and manner following First I commend my soule into the hands of my Creator hopeing for Salvation through the merits of Christ my Redeemer and my body to the Earth from whence it came to be buryed in decent Christian manner and as touching my worldly goods First I give and bequeath to my Eldest daughter Mary the sum[m]e of one hundred and Five pounds Item I give and bequeath to my second daughter Elizabeth the sum[m]e of Eighty Five pounds It’ I give and bequeath to my third daughter Hester the same sum[m] of Eighty Five pounds It’ I give and bequeath to my Fourth daughter Ann the sum[m]e of Eighty pounds It’ I give and bequeath to my Fifth daughter Dorothy the same sum[m]e of Eighty pounds these two last named Legacies to be paid to my two youngest daughters when they shall arrive at the age of Fifteene yeares It’ I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Elizabeth the sum[m]e of sixty pounds and one Bedd Item I give and bequeath to my Eldest sonn Charles the sum[m]e of one hundred pounds to be paid him when he comes to the age of Twelve yeares the interest of which I ordaine in the meane time to be expended in his maintenance and education All the rest of my goods Chattells Cattle and Creditts I give and bequeath to my youngest son Richard whom I constitute and appoint sole executor of this my last Will and Testament Except one pound which I give and bequeath to my loveing Brother John Bembow whome I do nominate and appoint sole and only Tutor and Guardian as well of my Executor as of all the rest of my aforementioned Children Excepting also the whole and all of my household stuffe which I give and bequeath to be equally divided in three parts betweene my three Eldest daughters before mentioned Lastly I declare and ordaine this to be my last and Final Will and Testament Revokeing and annulling all other Wills either or made or pretended to be made by me In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written Charles Bembow signed sealed published and declared in the sight and presence of the witnesses underwritten who subscribed their names hereunto in sight of the Testator John Evans Edw.d Thomas Edward Bennett Cler.
