Commentary
Helen’s parentage:
Several baptisms of Helens turn up in indexes in the period, but it doesn’t seem possible to determine which, if any, are of the Helen of this page. The closest baptism to St Ninians was in Logie, Perthshire, but that Helen married William Bryce in Logie in 1711, and had children with him throughout the period the Helen of this page was married to George Marshall and John Henderson.
