Relationships

(possible) Father: Arnulf.

This relationship is given by pére Anselme (1:22), by Hlawitschka, by Bretscher-Gisiger, and by Ewig. Settipani (pp. 55-57) notes that recently historians have questioned this relationship, but he still finds the evidence for it persuasive, calling it a "quasi-certitude". Bouchard (p. 114) believes the recent doubt is justified.

(possible) Mother: Doda.

This relationship is given by pére Anselme (1:22). Cawley, citing Settipani, notes that the evidence for this relationship is not strong.

Spouse: Begga.

This relationship is given by pére Anselme (1:22), by Ewig, by Hlawitschka, by Schieffer, by Bretscher-Gisiger, and by Settipani (p. 55), who considers it a "quasi-certitude", noting that although the sources for it are a little late, it has never been seriously questioned.

(possibly) Doda married Theoderic III, king of the Franks.
