Relationships

Father: Roland (Rivallon) le Strange.

This relationship is given by Lieberman (p. 96) and by le Strange (p. 5), who notes that Roland is the first le Strange about whom there is good evidence, and that the ancestry of Roland sometimes given -- making him the descendant of a fictional duke of Brittany -- is mythical. Keats-Rohan (p. 842) calls him "Rivallon Lestrange".

Mother: Matilda le Brun.

This relationship is given by Lieberman (p. 96) and by Keats-Rohan (p. 842). Le Strange (p. 5) cites a charter in which John (I) names his mother Matilda. He gives evidence for her family (pp. 11-12).

Spouse: Hawise.

This relationship is given by Lieberman (p. 96) and by le Strange (p. 35).
