This relationship is given by Halgouet (p. 19). Alarum was the daughter of Benedict, count and bishop of Cornouaille. Benedict is said by Pierre le Baud to be a descendant of Riwal Meur Marshou (died about 520), a leader of the Breton immigration to Armorica.
