This relationship is given by Wauters (1:4) and by Nys (p. 224), citing Van der Rest (which I have not seen).

Mother: uncertain.

Wauters (1:4) states that Léon’s second wife was Ave, heiress of Onulphe of Wolverthem, founder of the abbey of Dilighem, but he doesn’t state which wife was the mother of Léon’s children.


Spouse: Mathilde (Mahelde, Mahaut).

This relationship is given by Wauters (1:4), by Charruadas (p. 104), and by Nys (p. 225, p. 257).
