This suggestion is made by Keats-Rohan (1999, p. 390; 2002, p. 1023): "This Robert was certainly a descendant of the first William Malet (d.c. 1071), and may well have been a brother of the William who forfeited in 1110; this William, seigneur of Graville-Sainte-Honorine, certainly had a brother Robert; both were probably sons of Robert, Domesday lord of Eye."
