Ann Maw the Executrix within named was duely sworn before me John Ward Surrogate


pass.d 11th February 1793 sub 100 £


In the Name of God Amen


I William Maw in the Parish of Thornton in the County of York yeoman do make this my last will & Testament in manner following / that is to Say I give & bequeath all my Estate Effects - whether Real or Personal unto my Well belove’d Mother Eliz’th Maw during her naturall life & at her decease I also give & bequeath unto my Brother John Maw of Scarborough the Sum of Sixty Pounds to him & his heirs & assigns for Ever to be paid to him by my Executor herein after named within eight Calendar Months after the decease of my well beloved Mother Eliz’th Maw, & I also give & bequeath Unto my Sister Ann Maw of Thornton after my Mother’s decease the Intrest of the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds during her natural life & at her decease I give & bequeath the Sum of Two Hundred Pounds among Six. of My Nieces. daughters of my Sister Ann Maw (Viz) Elizabeth Mary. Ann. Adah. Zillah. & Hannah. & the aforesaid Sum to be Equally divided among these six. to them & there heirs & assign’s forever if in Case they shall be living at the time of my sisters Death & if in Case any of them should die & leave no Isue then my will is that the Survivors shall have that Share or Shares equally divided among them all & I also give & bequeath unto my Nephew John Maw of Thornton son of my said sister Ann Maw of Thornton the Sum Of One Hundred Pounds to him & his Heirs & assigns for ever if in Case he shall be living at the time of my Sister Ann Maws decease & if in Case he should not be then living & have no Isue then my will is that the aforesaid Sum of One Hundred Pounds Shall be Equally divided Share & Share alike among my six nieces daughters of my Said Sister Ann Maw of Thornton & lastly. I do hereby give & bequeath all & every my goods & Chattles ready Money Securities for Money & all other my Estate & Effects either Real or Personal unto my sister Ann Maw She paying thereout all my Just debts & funerall Expences & whom I appoint Sole Executor of this my Last Will & Testament in Witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand & seal this 29th day of December in the year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred ninety & two--
