Elizabeth’s age is given as 24 on the 19 November 1737 marriage bond.


(probable) Date of Baptism: 7 September 1712.

(probable) Place of Baptism: Ellerburn, Yorkshire.

The baptism is recorded in the the parish register. This is the most likely baptism based on date and place, although it would make the age on the marriage bond one year off.


Date of Death: after February 1793.

Elizabeth is mentioned in the 1793 will of her son, William. Possibly, she was the Elizabeth Maw buried 29 April 1793 in Thornton Dale, aged 84.

(probable) Mother: Elizabeth.

Elizabeth is named as John's wife in her burial record.


Spouse: James Maw (about 1707 - 1787). Married 20 November 1737 in Pickering, Yorkshire.
