Robert is listed under Ulceby in the 1641 Protestation Returns. His brothers Hugh and William are listed under Worlaby.

Rob.t Cowlham buried April 27.th

Robert Cowlam, yeoman of Ulceby, in his 1683 will, mentions his daughter Mary, his brother Edmund Hewitt, his brother's children Francis and John Cowlam, and his sister Jane Hewitt.

Commentary

The 1597 baptism is of the only surviving Robert Cowlam baptized in the area in the correct time period. Only one Robert Cowlam appears to have been married in the area during the correct time period, as well. However, I am not sure how complete the baptism and marriage indexes are.
