Relationships

Father: Nathaniel Arnold.

Mother: Elizabeth Waring.

The will of John Arnold the elder of Southam, farrier, made in 1760, mentions among his nephews and nieces some of the children of Nathaniel and Anne, and also a child and grandchildren of John Cook and Elizabeth Arnold of Long Itchington. John Cook and Elizabeth, and John Arnold of Southam, farrier, are mentioned in the 1737 will of Nathaniel Arnold. The 1714 will of Thomas Waring of Shipston mentions his granddaughter Elizabeth Arnold, who was Nathaniel's younger sister, baptized in 1702. This would seem to mean that the 1684 burial in Southam of Elizabeth, wife of Nathaniel Arnold, could not have been hers, and that Elizabeth Waring was Nathaniel's mother.

Spouse: Anne Claridge. Married 20 July 1711 in Warwick St Mary’s.

The marriage is given in the parish register. Both the bride and groom are described as being “of this parish”. Ann was probably buried 23 February 1761 at Stratford upon Avon.
