The will of Sarah’s sister Anne


In the name of God Amen I Anne Watts of Harbury in the County of Warwick Spinster being sick and weake of body but of sound and perfect mind and memory Praise be therefore given to Almighty God for the same do make and ordain this my present last Will and Testament in manner and forme following (that is to say) first and principally I comend my soul into the hands of Almighty God thereby hopeing thro’ the Meritorious death and Passion of my ever blessed Lord and saviour Jesus Christ to have full and free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to inheritt everlasting life And my body I comitt to the Earth from whence it came to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor herein after named And as to for touching and concerning the disposition of all such Temporall estate as it hath pleased Almighty God to bestow upon me I give and dispose thereof, as followeth Imprimis my will and desire is that all my debts and funerall charges be first paid and discharged Item I give and dispose and bequeath unto my loveing sister Sarah Harbert the wife of Thomas Harbert of Harbury in the said County of Warwick Yeoman the sum of five pounds of good and lawfull money of Great Britain to be paid her within twelve months next and imediately after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Loveing sister Mary Wright the wife of Thomas Wright of Harbury aforesaid husbandman the like sume of five pounds of like lawfull money to be paid her within twelve months next and imediately after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my Loveing Brother Robert Watts of Harbury aforesaid husbandman the sume of three pounds of like lawfull money to be paid him within twelve months next and imediately after my decease Item All the rest and residue of my personall estate goods and chattells whatsoever I do give unto my Loveing Brother John Watts of Harbury aforesaid Yeoman whome I make sole Executor of this my Last Will and Testament Item I give and bequeath unto my Loveing sister Alice Biddell one shilling to be paid her as aforesaid And I doe hereby revoake disannull and make void all former wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made In witness whereof, I the said Anne Watts have here unto set my hand and seale the fifteenth day of July in the first yeare of the Raigne of our Soveraigne Lord George the first by the Grace of God of Great Britaine France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith etc Anno qr Dm 1715
