This relationship is shown by Bartrum (Seisyll 1) and by Stephenson, who notes that Gronwy appears as a witness to a 1191 charter as "Gorgonius filius Einiaun Kenewal", the "Kenewal" probably indicating that Einion ap Seisyll was from Cynfael. The charter is no. 544 in Pryce, dated 22 February 1191.
