This relationship is given by Julian-Jones. Holden calls her ‘Mazilia’. Her name appears as ‘Mazilia’ or ‘Mascillia’ in the Curia Regis Rolls. Julian-Jones identifies her with the Mazra de Bracy who attourned William de Cantilupe in a 1201 case.

2 May. Westminster. To William de Cantilupe . The king has rendered to Hugh, son and heir of Hugh de Gournay all lands and tenements formerly of Hugh, his father, that are in William’s custody and fall to him by hereditary right. Order to cause Hugh to have full seisin without delay, saving to the king the land that Hugh, his father, held by bail of King John, father of the king, in the soke of Waltham . Witness H. etc. By the same and the king’s council.

22/58 (15 July 1238)

[No date]. The fine of William de Cantilupe. Somerset. William de Cantilupe junior has made fine with the king by 500 m. for having to himself and his heirs or assigns the custody of the lands and of Juliana, daughter and heiress of Hugh de Gournay . He is to render 60 m. of that fine per annum at the Exchequer, namely 30 m. at Easter and 30 m. at Michaelmas until it is paid.
