This relationship is given by Cartellieri and by Hausmann. Hausmann (p. 151) argues that Franz Tyroller's suggestion that she was the daughter of Bernhardt II of Saxony must be mistaken. Landi suggests that she was a daughter of Henry of Gorizia (died 1102). Hedwig died 1 June, after 1100.
