In the 1425 inquistion post mortem of his father, John is said to be 30 and more.

Place of Death: unknown.

The date is given in John’s inquisition post mortem.

Mother: Isabella Cornwall.

This relationship is given by Murphy (p. 13) and by Woodger.


Spouse: Alice de la Bere.

This relationship is given by Murphy (p. 13). Alice is said to be a daughter of Kynard de la Bere, which is what is given in the 1569 Visitation of Worcestershire (p. 18) and the 1623 Visitation of Shropshire (p. 52, p. 305). Alice's first name is known from her 1443 assignment of dower and her son Humphrey's 1444 proof of age. Alice’s family is known from heraldic glass formerly in the parish church at Deddington, Oxfordshire, described in the 1574 Visitation of Oxfordshire.
