Date of Death: 18 March 1271/2.

The date is given by the Complete Peerage (1:240). Suppe (ODNB) gives 1272/3. John's inquisition post mortem (CIPM 1:812) states that he died on the Friday before the Annunciation, 56 Hen. III.


Place of Burial: Haughmond Abbey, Shropshire.
