The xviij day of July ano. domyny 1579 and in the on & twenty yere of the rayn of our Soverayn lady Elizabeth by the grace of god Qene of yngland France and Irland defendar of the faythe et c I Jone Wevar of Oxtyd in the County of of Sury wedow being holle of boddy and in good & p[er]ffytt mynd & remembrance lawd & prays be geven to god do mak and ordayn thys my present testament Contayning here in my last wyll in manner & Forme Fowlowing that ys to say Fyrst and prycypally I comend my sowle to almyghty god the father my maker & Creature & to hys only sone Jesus Cryst my Saviour & redemar in whome & by the merryetts of whose blassyd deth & passyons ys all my hole trust & Confydance of Clere remyssyon & Forgyvenys of all my synes and my body to be berrid in oxtid church yard as nere to my late housband Antony Wevar as may be / Item I wyll & gyve to the pore of oxtyd to be geven a mongst them on the day of my beryuall by my Exeocutur in mony twenty shyllyng Item I wyll more to be spent on the days of my sayd beryuall in bred ches & drynk twenty shyllynges.
