Relationships

Father: Ingelger.

This relationship is given by père Anselme (6:5), by Le Jan (p. 449), and by Baldwin. Père Anselme (6:5) calls Ingelger a count of Anjou, and gives gives his parents as Tertulle and Petronille, and Tertulle’s father as Torquat. Baldwin states that nothing is known of Ingelger but his name and that he was the father of Foulques. He states that the relationships given by pére Anselme are not to be accepted as historical.

Mother: uncertain.

Père Anselme gives Aelinde, niece of Adalard, archbishop of Tours, and of Raimond, bishop of Orleans. Baldwin states that this relationship is “possible”. Le Jan (p. 449) gives Aelendim, niece of Adalaud and Rainon, bishops of Angers. Klaus van Eickels, in the Anjou genealogical table in volume 9 of the Lexikon des Mittelalters, gives Adelheid.

Spouse: Roscille, daughter of Warnerius and Tescenda.

This relationship is given by père Anselme (6:6), Le Jan (p. 449), and by Baldwin.
