Relationships

Father: Konrad, count of Haldensleben

This relationship is given by Jackman (p. 50) and Wolf, and (tentatively) by Cawley.

Mother: uncertain.

Cawley notes that Ernst Klebel proposes that she was a daughter of Liudolf of Brunswick, margrave in Friesland, and his wife Gertrud of Egisheim. Wolf also gives this. Jackman (p. 50) gives her parents as Bruno, count of Brunswick and Gisela. Jackman notes that she is recorded as a neptis of Emperor Henry III, which makes her very likely to have been affiliated in some way with the house of Brunswick.

Spouse: Frederick of Formbach

This relationship is given by Jackman (p. 50) and by Wolf.

Spouse: Ordulf, duke in Saxony

This relationship is given by Cawley.

Children (by Frederick):

(Complete source citations for facts about the children on this page are currently outside of the scope of this project. Most information below comes from Cawley.)

Hedwig married (1) Gerhard of Süpplingenburg; married (2) Thierry II, duke of Lorraine.

Children (by Ordulf):

Bernhard (born 1072).
