Relationships

Father: Thomas de Crewe.

This relationship is given by Ormerod (3:313), who states that Thomas was probably the grandson of Henry de Criwa, who witnessed a deed of William de Malbank about 1150. Carter (p. 117) cites an abstract of a deed giving Thomas's father as Thomas. He, however, states (p. 119) that he merely regards the relationship as probable.

Mother: Margery or Alice.

Ormerod (3:313) gives Alice. Carter (p. 119) gives Margery or Alice, as the name is recorded differently in different documents, and regards the relationship as merely probable.

Spouse: Margaret, daughter of Sir William de Malpas.

This relationship is given by Carter (p. 119). It is recorded in the Chester plea rolls (Wrottesley, p. 119). Ormerod (3:313) gives "Agnes"
