As a teenager, John moved with his family to Muskoka. He had a farm and general store in Uffington.
Date of Birth: 10 July 1865.
Place of Birth: Branchton, Waterloo County, Canada West, United Province of Canada.
The 1901 census gives his date of birth as July 10, 1865, as does his gravestone. His death registration gives the place of birth as “Branchton” and his age as “50 yrs 11 months” which calculates to July, 1865. (The informant for the death registration was Thomas Kirkpatrick.)
Date of Death: 12 June 1916.
Place of Death: Uffington, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.
His death registration gives the date of death (“June 12th 1916”) and the place (“Uffington”). The cause of death was heart failure. The informant for the return was Thomas Kirkpatrick, the physician was J. H. Speers, and the return was made on the day of death. His gravestone also gives the date of death as June 12 1916.
Place of Burial: Uffington, Muskoka, Ontario, Canada.

Relationship to John Crozier: J.C’s death registration gives “Adam Crozier” as his father. (The informant was Thomas Kirkpatrick.) The 1871 and 1881 censuses do not give explicit family relationships, but place him in the household of Adam Crozier and his wife Margaret.
Mother: Margaret Duncan (1834 - 1914).
Relationship to John Crozier: J.C.’s death registration gives “Margaret Duncan” as his mother. (The informant was Thomas Kirkpatrick.) The 1871 and 1881 censuses do not give explicit family relationships, but place him in the household of Adam Crozier and his wife Margaret.
Spouse: Agnes Elizabeth Brewster (1868 - 1918). Married 16 May 1888, Muskoka, Ontario Canada. The marriage certificate still exists.
