Commentary
This are the reasons I give Richard Bloxham as the father of the William of this page:
There are two baptisms recorded of William Bloxhams in the right area and time period: one to a Richard and Anne Bloxham in Farnborough in 1733 and one to a Thomas in Allesley in 1728. Both of these Williams are mentioned in the 1767 PCC will of their uncle, William Bloxham, grazier of Burton Dassett. (The William of the 1767 will was a brother of Richard and Thomas.) The will makes it clear that both the 1728 and the 1733 William are still alive at the time that the will was made.
The 1728 William was the main beneficiary of his uncle’s will. Evidence, some of which is discussed on the page of William Bloxham (1766-1801), shows that the 1728 William married Mary Gibb in 1758 and was still married to her in the 1780s, when he was in gaol for threatening Mary and his brother in law (who had been a witness at their wedding).
The father of the 1733 William, Richard, was a miller, as was the William of this page.
The William who was the husband of Sarah Harbord was also a witness at the weddings of at least two of Richard’s [other] children: Ann in 1758 and Richard in 1769. (That they are the same William is evident from the signatures.)
The mother of the William of this page is recorded as Anne on William’s baptism record. An Anne Padbury married a Richard Bloxham in 1723 in Chesterton, Warwickshire. Their marriage record states that they were both from Fenny Compton.
