Baldwin notes that he was living 8 December 922 and appears to have been deceased by 8 October 924, on which date “Hermengarda inclyta comitissa” appears in a charter of Rudolf. However, Fasoli states that Adalberto must have died sometime after he made a donation to the church of S. Andrea di Torino on 28 February 929.
