Perhaps the William Cartwright who was a witness at Mary's daughter Mary’s 1761 marriage in Middle Rasen, and who was also a witness to her husband John Hall's 1750 will, was somehow related to her. He seems to have been born in about 1703, to have married in Wootton in 1732, moved to Middle Rasen in about 1736, remarried there in 1769, and was buried there in 1771. An Edward Cartwright of Wootton was apprenticed as to a butcher in Market Rasen in 1729.

Spouse: John Hall. Married 14 October 1736 at Goxhill, Lincolnshire.

The marriage is recorded in the parish register.
