Relationships

(possible) Father: Fulcois, count.

This relationship is given by Saint-Phalle, by Settipani, and by Baldwin, who discusses the evidence. Thompson (p. 196) prefers the hypothesis that Geoffrey's father was Rotrou of Nogent-le-Rotrou, and that Melisende was the daughter of Hildegarde, vicomtesse of Châteaudun.

Mother: Melisende.

This relationship is given by Thompson (p. 32) and by Baldwin, who discusses the evidence about her ancestry.

Spouse: Helvise, daughter of Rainard, lord of Pithiviers, and his wife Helvise.

This relationship is given by Settipani and by Baldwin. Thompson (p. 37 fn) notes that most modern commentators give Helvise's father as Fulcuich.
