Information from Edmund’s will (abstracted by Cliff Webb):


Will made 13 March 1545/6.

Residence: Capel, Surrey.

Edmund asks to be buried in the churchyard.

Edmund names three under-age sons --William, Thomas and Nicholas -- who are to have the profits of the lease of land called “Ruggys”.

Edmund asks his son John to pay his wife 1l 6s 8d, and gives her the lease of land called “the Clerks.”

Edmund gives a cow to his son William.

Edmund gives five pounds to his daughter Alice.

Edmund gives one pound to [his goddaughter?] Joan F… and 4d to his other godchildren.
