In the name of god amen in the yere of our lord god md: xxxi I Richard Wever of the paryssh of Oxted in Surrey beyng in good mynd and of perfytt memory make and ordeyn this my last wyll and testament in man[ner] and forme foloyng First I bequeath my soule to god allmyghty and to the Glorius Virgyn his mother and to all the holy co[m]pany of hevyn and my body to be buryed in the Church yarde of Oxted also I bequeth to the mother church of Wynchester iiij d and to the hygh awlter of Oxted xij d also I wyll my wyff Margaret to have my tenement at Berowgreen wyth the purtenance to hit belongyng after this condicion that is to say to have her chamger that she lyeth in and yerely in money xx s or els yf she wyll goe from the sayd howse att her pleasure then I wyll that my son Anthony his heyrys and executours shall pay to her yerely xxvjs viijd by equall porcions ev[er]y quarter vis viijd and after the naturall deth of my sayd wyff I geve and bequeth my sayd howse wyth the appurtenances to my son Anthony and his heyres of his body lawfully begotyn and for lack of heyrys of his body lawfully begotyn I wyll my sayd howse with thappurtenances be solde by the vyce of the paryssh of Oxted to them that wyll geve moyst for hitt and the money thereof to be bestowed in dedys of charyte of the sayd church and hye ways where mayst nede ys More ov[er] I wyll my son Anthony shall have the governance of the foresayd howse wyth thappurtenances by the tyme of his mothers lyff paying to her the foresayd money after man[ner] and forme aforesayd also I wyll a certayn crofte named grates to my son Anthony and hys heyres so that he or they havyng the sayd crofte shall kepe a tapur to be lyght upon the holy days in service tyme at evynsonge matteyns and masse frome the morow after the fest of thascencion unto Ester evyn that the pascall be [se...t?] upp and when wexe ys so dere that the ferme of the sayd crofte wyllnot mayntayne the lyght then there ys [...ys] and treys of the sayd crofte I wyll now and then one of theym to be solde to helpe thereto so that p[ro]vysion may be made that the sayd lyght at all tymys may be laudabely keppte and that the church wardeyns and the p[ar]yssh to se hit p[er]formed Also I geve and bequeth to my son Wyllyam xxs of the which I payd to hym v s also I wyll to my son Phylypp xxs also I wyll to my son John the yongar xxs and to Johane my doghter xxs and the money of the sayd John and Johan to be in the kepyng of myn executor and at his discrecion when he doth se nede to pay hit to them and yf eyther of them departe the money unpayde of the partye decessed to be bestowed in dedys of charyte for the sowle and all crysten sowles. Also I have geven to my son John thelder xxs the which I have payd to hym for his parte and also to Wyllyam my son vs in parte of payment of his xxs also I wyll every god chylde that I have iiijd also I have gevyn and payd to my son xxs for his parte also I wyll my wyff to have halfe of my howse stuffe and the other halfe of the sayd stuff wyth my quyckatell[?] and corne of the grownde I gev to my son Anthony also I wyll to be bestowyd att my pbytt[?] xs and att my moneth mynde xs also I wyll my son Athony shall cause yerely to be keppte an annyv[er]sary conteynyng vis viijd the residue of my goods my legacs and my detts payde wyth my detts to me due I geve to my son Anthony and to his heyres and I wyll Wylliam Heyward to be myn executor he to have for his labur xs and doe for my sowll and all cristen sowlls that may be to the pleasure of gode amen hijs testibz dno Willm Wylson Rcore Henrico Cowper et Thomas Alyn./
