Commentary
Helen’s parentage
Helen was married in 1771 and had several children baptized between 1773 and 1790. There are two baptisms of a Helen Henderson in the area in the period, in 1742 and 1750, and two marriages, in 1764 and 1771. It is reasonable to assume that the Helen baptized in 1742 married in 1764 and the Helen baptized in 1750 married in 1771.
The parents in the 1751 baptism were James Henderson and Elizabeth Marshall.
