These parents are given by Weller, citing work by Oediger and by Kupper, who gives his reasons in his article. Wauters states that Henry was the son (“comme l’abbé Ernst l’a prouvé”) the son of Waleran, count of Arlon and of Judith, the daughter of Frederick, duke of Lower Lotharingia. Neu states that Henry was the son of Waleran II of Limburg or of the family of Bishop Udo of Toul, and that his mother was Judith, daughter of Frederick II of Lower Lotharingia.

Spouse: [name unknown] of Arlon.

Neu states that she was either the daughter or granddaughter of Waleran of Arlon and Adela. Weller (p. 518) states that she was probably the daughter of either Waleron II of Arlon or of his brother Fulco of Arlon. Kupper suggests that she was the daughter of Waleron II of Arlon.
