Commentary

The will of William Dudley, and the parish register entries, make clear that Edward Grove’s second wife Anne, named his will, was previously married to William Dudley. His “son in law” William Dudley, his “daughter in law” Elizabeth Willets, and his “daughter in law” Mary Penne, are children of Anne and her first husband William.
