Weis (p. 43; 34-27) gives Agatha, daughter of Ranulph fitz Henry and granddaughter of Henry fitz Hervey, lord of Ravensworth.

Joan is recorded as Aline’s mother in a charter in the Register of the Priory of St Bees (p. 99). She is recorded as William's wife in a fine of 23 Henry III (no. 80).
