Mother: unknown.

No parents are given in Catherine’s baptism record, as was usual in the register the 1580s. A Thomas Scholes of Prestwich married a Jane Bradshaw 15 May 1580 in Manchester. He left a 1600 will (Thomas Scholes reedmaker of Eccles), in which he mentioned his wife Joan, his sons Thomas (probably baptized in Eccles in 1582), John (probably baptized in Eccles in 1589), George, and Richard, and other unnamed children. A William Scholes of Prestwich married a Jane Travis 12 May 1580 in Manchester. I know of no further information about that family.

Spouse: Joshua Dixon. Married 25 May 1606 in Eccles.
